One thing I knew I wanted to do while we're traveling around the country during this move was to meet up with like-minded families to learn from them, share information, and just hang out and let our kids play. So before we even started our journey, I looked up natural parenting groups in San Antonio, Pensacola, and our destination in Maryland.
The first “crunchy” gathering I've gone to here was the San Antonio Natural Parenting groups' Family Night Out. We had a delicious dinner at Big'z Burger Joint, which has really yummy gluten free buns and lots of toppings to choose from. There's a giant fenced-in artificial lawn, where the kids all ran around and played with playground balls.
SANP also did their annual babywearing group photo that night, and I was excited to be able to join in (and The Guy did too)!
Soft structured carriers, woven wraps, and slings, oh my! There were so many mamas in attendance, sharing their love for babywearing and trying on each other's carriers. Everyone was so welcoming and sweet, and wonderful to chat with. I hope I get to go to some more SANP events this month before we move on! If you're in San Antonio, you should definitely look them up and give the group a try!
